Bug Spray Recommended!

May. 18, 2018

The mosquitoes are bad this year, we all know it! Unfortunately the City of Wetaskiwin has a 'no spray' policy for several reasons, including the environmental impact that spraying can have on other organisms (bees, birds, butterflies) and the negative impact that it can have on humans. The City of Wetaskiwin has not sprayed its fields in over 15 years and has no plans to begin spraying now. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you find a bug spray that works for your family, and bring it with you so that you can re-apply throughout your practice! For house league teams, it's perfectly acceptable to wear long pants and long sleeves under your jersey as well, as long as you are still wearing shin-guards!
